Ecclesiastes 12:10-12

¹⁰^(A)The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth.

¹¹^(B)The words of the wise are like goads, and like ^(C)nails firmly fixed are the collected sayings; they are ^(D)given by ^(E)one Shepherd. ¹²My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making ^(F)many books there is no end, and ^(G)much study is a weariness of the flesh.

¹¹The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails^(C)—given by one shepherd.^[a] ¹²Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.^(D)
