The Vanity of Wisdom

¹² I ^(A)the Preacher have been king over Israel in Jerusalem.

²⁷ Behold, this is what I found, says ^(A)the Preacher, while adding one thing to another to find the scheme of things—

^8 (A)Vanity^[a] of vanities, says ^(B)the Preacher; all is vanity.

Fear God and Keep His Commandments

⁹ Besides being wise, ^(C)the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging ^(D)many proverbs with great care. ^10 (E)The Preacher sought to find words of delight, and uprightly he wrote words of truth.
