16 Allora io dissi: «La sapienza val piú della forza; ma la sapienza del povero è disprezzata e le sue parole non sono ascoltate».
17 Le parole dei saggi pronunciate con calma si ascoltano meglio delle grida di chi domina fra gli stolti.
18 La sapienza val piú delle armi da guerra; ma un solo peccatore distrugge un gran bene.

New International Version
16 So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.(A)
17 The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded
than the shouts of a ruler of fools.
18 Wisdom(B) is better than weapons of war,
but one sinner destroys much good.
