¹² Wisdom and money can get you almost anything,
    but only wisdom can save your life.

³⁵ For whoever finds me finds life
    and receives favor from the Lord.

¹⁸ Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
    happy are those who hold her tightly.

¹⁰ The name of the Lord is a strong fortress;
    the godly run to him and are safe.

¹¹ The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense;
    they imagine it to be a high wall of safety.

⁴ Riches won’t help on the day of judgment,
    but right living can save you from death.

¹⁵ And the thornbush replied to the trees,
‘If you truly want to make me your king,
    come and take shelter in my shade.
If not, let fire come out from me
    and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’”
