The Value of a Friend

¹⁸ And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; ^(A)I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

¹⁸ But now ^(A)God has set the members, each one of them, in the body ^(B)just as He pleased. ¹⁹ And if they were all one member, where would the body be?

²⁰ But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. ²¹ And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.”

Sending Out the Twelve^(A)

^7 (B)And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out ^(C)two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.

^14 (A)I am not able to bear all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.

^36 (A)And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that ^(B)both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.

And I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and ^(F)I will teach you what you shall do. ¹⁶ So he shall be your spokesman to the people. And he himself shall be as a mouth for you, and ^(G)you shall be to him as God.

¹⁴ So ^(A)the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, ^(B)governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; ^(C)and they came and worked on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,
