³¹ “You are to make a curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen with a design of cherubim worked into it.^{(A) 32} Hang it on four gold-plated pillars of acacia wood that have gold hooks and that stand on four silver bases. ³³ Hang the curtain under the clasps^[a] and bring the ark of the testimony there behind the curtain, so the curtain will make a separation for you between the holy place^(B) and the most holy place.

³⁵ After crucifying him, they divided his clothes by casting lots.^{[a](A) 36} Then they sat down and were guarding him there. ³⁷ Above his head they put up the charge against him in writing: This Is Jesus, the King of the Jews.

⁵⁰ But Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.^{(A) 51} Suddenly, the curtain of the sanctuary^(B) was torn in two from top to bottom, the earth quaked, and the rocks were split. ⁵² The tombs were also opened^(C) and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.
