Uzdrowienie niepełnosprawnego
3 Jednego razu, w porze modlitwy, Piotr i Jan wstępowali do świątyni. Było około piętnastej.[a] 2 W tym też czasie przynoszono tam pewnego człowieka, który nie mógł chodzić od urodzenia.[b] Codziennie sadzano go przy bramie świątyni, zwanej Piękną, gdzie prosił wchodzących o wsparcie. 3 Człowiek ten zobaczył Piotra i Jana. Właśnie mieli wejść do świątyni, gdy poprosił, czy nie zechcieliby go wesprzeć.
4 Wówczas Piotr — wraz z Janem — wpatrzył się w niego i polecił: Spójrz na nas. 5 Tamten uczynił to — w oczekiwaniu, że coś od nich otrzyma. 6 Tymczasem Piotr powiedział: Nie mam srebra ani złota, lecz daję ci to, co mam: W imieniu Jezusa Chrystusa z Nazaretu, wstań i rusz z miejsca!
7 Następnie uchwycił go za prawą rękę i podniósł. Wtedy człowiek ten natychmiast odzyskał siłę w stopach i kostkach. 8 Podskoczył, stanął na nogach i ruszył przed siebie; wszedł razem z nimi do świątyni, a tam chodził dookoła, podskakiwał i wielbił Boga.
9 Cały lud zobaczył go, jak chodzi i chwali Boga. 10 Rozpoznali też, że to ten sam człowiek, który w poszukiwaniu wsparcia siadał przy Bramie Pięknej świątyni. Byli więc tym bardziej zdumieni i zachwyceni tym, co go spotkało. 11 A gdy on tak trzymał się Piotra i Jana, cały zdumiony lud zbiegł się do nich do portyku zwanego Salomonowym.

12 Gdy Piotr to zobaczył, odezwał się do ludu: Izraelici, dlaczego się temu dziwicie? I dlaczego nam się tak przypatrujecie, jakbyśmy to własną mocą lub pobożnością sprawili, że ten człowiek chodzi? 13 Bóg Abrahama, Izaaka i Jakuba — Bóg naszych ojców, obdarzył chwałą swego Sługę, Jezusa, właśnie Tego, którego wy wydaliście i którego zaparliście się przed Piłatem. Piłat uznał, że należy Go uwolnić, 14 wy tymczasem zaparliście się Świętego i Sprawiedliwego i wyprosiliście sobie ułaskawienie mordercy. 15 W ten sposób zabiliście Sprawcę życia, którego Bóg wzbudził z martwych — czego my jesteśmy świadkami.

Bóg mówił o tym od wieków przez usta swoich świętych proroków. 22 Mojżesz powiedział przecież: Pan, wasz Bóg, wzbudzi wam, spośród waszych braci, Proroka podobnego do mnie. Jemu będziecie posłuszni we wszystkim, cokolwiek wam powie. 23 I stanie się tak, że każdy, kto nie posłucha tego proroka, będzie całkowicie usunięty z ludu. 24 Dni te zapowiadali wszyscy prorocy, którzy przemawiali kolejno, począwszy od Samuela. 25 Wy jesteście synami tych proroków i przymierza, które Bóg zawarł z waszymi ojcami. Oświadczył On Abrahamowi: W twoim nasieniu będą błogosławione wszystkie rody ziemi. 26 Bóg zatem wzbudził swego Sługę przede wszystkim dla was. Posłał Go, aby wam błogosławił, dając każdemu z was możliwość odwrócenia się od własnej niegodziwości.

A Lame Man Healed
3 Now Peter and John went up together (A)to the temple at the hour of prayer, (B)the ninth hour. 2 And (C)a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, (D)to [a]ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: (E)In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, (F)leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 (G)And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who (H)sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch (I)which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed. 12 So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 (J)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, (K)glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you (L)delivered up and (M)denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But you denied (N)the Holy One (O)and the Just, and (P)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and killed the [b]Prince of life, (Q)whom God raised from the dead, (R)of which we are witnesses. 16 (S)And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. 17 “Yet now, brethren, I know that (T)you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But (U)those things which God foretold (V)by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 19 (W)Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send [c]Jesus Christ, who was [d]preached to you before, 21 (X)whom heaven must receive until the times of (Y)restoration of all things, (Z)which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [e]the world began. 22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, (AA)‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Petrus och Johannes botar en lam man
3 En eftermiddag gick Petrus och Johannes till templet för att vara med vid den dagliga bönen klockan tre.
2 När de närmade sig templet såg de hur en man, som hade varit lam från födseln, bars längs gatan och lades bredvid den tempelport som kallades Sköna porten. Man brukade hjälpa honom med detta varje dag.
3 När Petrus och Johannes kom gående, bad han dem om pengar.
4 De såg uppmärksamt på honom, och sedan sa Petrus: Titta på oss!
5 Den lame mannen såg ivrigt på dem och väntade sig en gåva.
6 Men Petrus sa: Vi har inga pengar att ge dig. Men jag ska ge dig något annat! Jag befaller dig i Jesu Kristi, nasareens namn, res dig upp!
7-8 Sedan tog Petrus den lame mannens högra hand för att resa upp honom. När han gjorde det blev mannen frisk i sina fötter och vrister, och han reste sig upp, stod stilla ett ögonblick, och började sedan gå fram och tillbaka! Därefter följde han med dem till templet, och han både gick och hoppade och lovprisade Gud.
9 När människorna där inne såg honom gå och hörde honom lovprisa Gud,
10 blev de förvånade. De förstod ju att det var den lame tiggaren som ofta hade suttit vid Sköna porten.
11 Han höll sig hela tiden tätt intill Petrus och Johannes, och alla skyndade sig till Salomos pelargång och trängdes där för att få se honom, och man förundrade sig över det som hänt.
Petrus predikar i templet
12 Petrus såg sitt tillfälle och talade till folkskaran. Israelitiska män, sa han, vad är det för märkvärdigt med detta? Och varför ser ni på oss som om vi genom vår egen kraft och fromhet fått den här mannen att börja gå?
13 Det är ju Abrahams, Isaks och Jakobs och alla era förfäders Gud, som har ärat sin tjänare Jesus genom att göra detta. Jag talar om den Jesus, som ni förkastade inför Pilatus, trots Pilatus beslut att släppa honom fri.
14 Ni ville inte att han skulle släppas, denne helige, rättfärdige man. I stället krävde ni att en mördare skulle friges.
15 Och ni dödade livets Herre, men Gud förde honom tillbaka till livet. Johannes och jag är vittnen till detta faktum, för efter det att ni dödat honom såg vi honom livs levande!
16 Den här mannen har blivit botad genom Jesu namn, och ni vet hur lam han var förut. Det är tron på Jesu namn, den tro som Gud har gett oss, som har gjort att denne man nu är fullkomligt frisk.
17 Kära bröder! Jag förstår att vad ni gjorde med Jesus, det gjorde ni i okunnighet. Och detsamma kan sägas om era ledare.
18 Men Gud lät det profeterna sagt gå i uppfyllelse, nämligen att Messias måste genomgå detta lidande.
19 Ångra er och ändra er inställning till Gud och vänd om till honom. Då ska han rena er från era synder och
20 låta den tid komma då han vänder sig till er och sänder Jesus, er Messias, till er.
21-22 Han måste nämligen stanna kvar i himlen tills den tid kommer, när Gud ska låta allt som man förutsa för länge sen bli verklighet. Mose sa till exempel: 'Herren Gud ska låta en profet som liknar mig komma till er. Lyssna noga till allt han säger er.
23 Den som inte lyssnar på honom kommer att gå förlorad.'
24 Samuel och alla profeterna talade allesammans om vad som händer i dag.
25 Ni är dessa profeters barn. Guds löften till våra förfäder, att hela världen ska bli välsignad genom judarna, gäller också er. Det var det löfte som Gud gav åt Abraham.
26 Och så snart som Gud hade gjort sin tjänare levande igen, sände han honom först till er israeliter för att välsigna er när ni vänder om från era synder.
