24 and ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth. 25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any more, then we shall die. 26 For who is there of all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

24 y dijeron: “Ya hemos visto que el Señor nuestro Dios nos ha mostrado su gloria y su grandeza. También hemos oído su voz salir desde el fuego. Hoy hemos visto que el Señor habla a los mortales, y que éstos aún siguen con vida. 25 Ahora bien, este gran fuego podría consumirnos; y si oímos otra vez la voz de nuestro Señor y Dios, seguramente moriremos. ¿Por qué tenemos que morir? 26 Y además, ¿qué somos los mortales, para oír la voz del Dios viviente hablar de en medio del fuego, como nosotros la oímos, y aún seguir con vida?
