6 Do ye thus repay Hashem, O foolish people without chacham? Is not He Avicha that hath bought thee? Hath He not made thee, and established thee?
7 Remember the yemot olam, consider shenot dor v’dor: ask Avicha, and he will show thee; thy zekenim, and they will tell thee.
8 When HaElyon divided to the Goyim their nachalah, when He separated the Bnei Adam, He set the gevulot (borders) of the people according to the number of the Bnei Yisroel.

6 Is this the way you repay(A) the Lord,
you foolish(B) and unwise people?(C)
Is he not your Father,(D) your Creator,[a]
who made you and formed you?(E)
7 Remember the days of old;(F)
consider the generations long past.(G)
Ask your father and he will tell you,
your elders, and they will explain to you.(H)
8 When the Most High(I) gave the nations their inheritance,
when he divided all mankind,(J)
he set up boundaries(K) for the peoples
according to the number of the sons of Israel.[b](L)
