¹³ “Furthermore ^(A)the Lord spoke to me, saying, ‘I have seen this people, and indeed ^(B)they are a ^[a]stiff-necked people.

¹⁶ Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your ^(A)heart, and be ^(B)stiff-necked^[a] no longer.

⁶ Therefore understand that the Lord your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a ^(A)stiff-necked^[a] people.

¹⁴ Nevertheless they would not hear, but ^(A)stiffened their necks, like the necks of their fathers, who ^(B)did not believe in the Lord their God.

^27 (A)for I know your rebellion and your ^(B)stiff neck. If today, while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against the Lord, then how much more after my death?

⁹ And the Lord said to Moses, ^(A)“I have seen this people, and indeed it is a ^[a]stiff-necked people! ¹⁰ Now therefore, ^(B)let Me alone, that ^(C)My wrath may burn hot against them and I may ^[b]consume them. And ^(D)I will make of you a great nation.”
