⁹ Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, ^(A)the faithful God ^(B)who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

⁷ for God gave us ^(A)a spirit not of fear but ^(B)of power and love and self-control.

⁸ This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but ^(A)you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. ⁹ Have I not commanded you? ^(B)Be strong and courageous. ^(C)Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

^16 (A)All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, ¹⁷ that ^(B)the man of God^[a] may be complete, ^(C)equipped ^(D)for every good work.
