Deuteronomy 5:25-27
The Voice
25 But if we keep listening to the voice of the Eternal, our True God, that huge fire is going to burn us up, and we’ll die! Why should we let that happen? 26 Who on earth has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking from inside a flame, as we just did, and survived? 27 You, go up and listen to everything the Eternal our God is saying, and then come tell us everything He tells you. We’ll listen, and we’ll obey.”
Deuteronomy 5:25-27
New International Version
25 But now, why should we die? This great fire will consume us, and we will die if we hear the voice of the Lord our God any longer.(A) 26 For what mortal has ever heard the voice of the living God speaking out of fire, as we have, and survived?(B) 27 Go near and listen to all that the Lord our God says.(C) Then tell us whatever the Lord our God tells you. We will listen and obey.”(D)
