Deuteronomy 4:9-10
English Standard Version
9 (A)“Only take care, and (B)keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. (C)Make them known to your children and your children's children— 10 how on (D)the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, (E)‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, (F)so that they may learn to fear (G)me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’

Psalm 78:2-7
English Standard Version
2 (A)I will open my mouth (B)in a parable;
I will utter dark sayings from of old,
3 things that we have heard and known,
that our (C)fathers have told us.
4 We will not (D)hide them from their children,
but (E)tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
and (F)the wonders that he has done.
5 He established (G)a testimony in (H)Jacob
and appointed a law in (I)Israel,
which he commanded our fathers
to teach to their children,
6 that (J)the next generation might know them,
the children yet unborn,
and arise and tell them to their children,
7 so that they should set their hope in God
and not forget (K)the works of God,
but (L)keep his commandments;
