Deuteronomy 4:4-24
New King James Version
4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.
5 “Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess. 6 Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is (A)your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
7 “For (B)what great nation is there that has (C)God[a] so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? 8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day? 9 Only take heed to yourself, and diligently (D)keep yourself, lest you (E)forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And (F)teach them to your children and your grandchildren, 10 especially concerning (G)the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.’
11 “Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness. 12 (H)And the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no [b]form; (I)you only heard a voice. 13 (J)So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, (K)the Ten Commandments; and (L)He wrote them on two tablets of stone. 14 And (M)the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might [c]observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.
Beware of Idolatry
15 (N)“Take careful heed to yourselves, for you saw no (O)form when the Lord spoke to you at Horeb out of the midst of the fire, 16 lest you (P)act corruptly and (Q)make for yourselves a carved image in the [d]form of any figure: (R)the likeness of male or female, 17 the likeness of any animal that is on the earth or the likeness of any winged bird that flies in the air, 18 the likeness of anything that creeps on the ground or the likeness of any fish that is in the water beneath the earth. 19 And take heed, lest you (S)lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, (T)all the host of heaven, you feel driven to (U)worship them and serve them, which the Lord your God has [e]given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage. 20 But the Lord has taken you and (V)brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be (W)His people, an inheritance, as you are this day. 21 Furthermore (X)the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, and swore that (Y)I would not cross over the Jordan, and that I would not enter the good land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance. 22 But (Z)I must die in this land, (AA)I must not cross over the Jordan; but you shall cross over and [f]possess (AB)that good land. 23 Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the Lord your God which He made with you, (AC)and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the Lord your God has forbidden you. 24 For (AD)the Lord your God is a consuming fire, (AE)a jealous God.

Egypt and Others Consigned to the Pit
17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, (A)that the word of the Lord came to me, saying:
18 “Son of man, wail over the multitude of Egypt,
And (B)cast them down to the depths of the earth,
Her and the daughters of the famous nations,
With those who go down to the Pit:
19 ‘Whom (C)do you surpass in beauty?
(D)Go down, be placed with the uncircumcised.’
20 “They shall fall in the midst of those slain by the sword;
She is delivered to the sword,
(E)Drawing her and all her multitudes.
21 (F)The strong among the mighty
Shall speak to him out of the midst of hell
With those who help him:
‘They have (G)gone down,
They lie with the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.’
22 “Assyria(H) is there, and all her company,
With their graves all around her,
All of them slain, fallen by the sword.
23 (I)Her graves are set in the recesses of the Pit,
And her company is all around her grave,
All of them slain, fallen by the sword,
Who (J)caused terror in the land of the living.
24 “There is (K)Elam and all her multitude,
All around her grave,
All of them slain, fallen by the sword,
Who have (L)gone down uncircumcised to the lower parts of the earth,
(M)Who caused their terror in the land of the living;
Now they bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit.
25 They have set her (N)bed in the midst of the slain,
With all her multitude,
With her graves all around it,
All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword;
Though their terror was caused
In the land of the living,
Yet they bear their shame
With those who go down to the Pit;
It was put in the midst of the slain.
26 “There are (O)Meshech and Tubal and all their multitudes,
With all their graves around it,
All of them (P)uncircumcised, slain by the sword,
Though they caused their terror in the land of the living.
27 (Q)They do not lie with the mighty
Who are fallen of the uncircumcised,
Who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war;
They have laid their swords under their heads,
But their iniquities will be on their bones,
Because of the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.
28 Yes, you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised,
And lie with those slain by the sword.
29 “There is (R)Edom,
Her kings and all her princes,
Who despite their might
Are laid beside those slain by the sword;
They shall lie with the uncircumcised,
And with those who go down to the Pit.
30 (S)There are the princes of the north,
All of them, and all the (T)Sidonians,
Who have gone down with the slain
In shame at the terror which they caused by their might;
They lie uncircumcised with those slain by the sword,
And bear their shame with those who go down to the Pit.
31 “Pharaoh will see them
And be (U)comforted over all his multitude,
Pharaoh and all his army,
Slain by the sword,”
Says the Lord God.
32 “For I have caused My terror in the land of the living;
And he shall be placed in the midst of the uncircumcised
With those slain by the sword,
Pharaoh and all his multitude,”
Says the Lord God.

Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who [a]will believe in Me through their word; 21 (B)that they all may be one, as (C)You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the (D)glory which You gave Me I have given them, (E)that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; (F)that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
24 (G)“Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; (H)for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father! (I)The world has not known You, but (J)I have known You; and (K)these have known that You sent Me. 26 (L)And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love (M)with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

Romans 6:6-14
New King James Version
6 knowing this, that (A)our old man was crucified with Him, that (B)the body of sin might be [a]done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For (C)he who has died has been [b]freed from sin. 8 Now (D)if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that (E)Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, (F)He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, (G)He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, [c]reckon yourselves to be (H)dead indeed to sin, but (I)alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 (J)Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your (K)members as [d]instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but (L)present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For (M)sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Philemon
New King James Version
Greeting
1 Paul, a (A)prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother,
To Philemon our beloved friend and fellow laborer, 2 to [a]the beloved Apphia, (B)Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church in your house:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philemon’s Love and Faith
4 (C)I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 (D)hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, 6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective (E)by the acknowledgment of (F)every good thing which is in [b]you in Christ Jesus. 7 For we [c]have great [d]joy and [e]consolation in your love, because the [f]hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.
The Plea for Onesimus
8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting, 9 yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you—being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ— 10 I appeal to you for my son (G)Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains, 11 who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.
12 I am sending him [g]back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own [h]heart, 13 whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel. 14 But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, (H)that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.
15 For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave—a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the (I)flesh and in the Lord.
Philemon’s Obedience Encouraged
17 If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me. 18 But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. 19 I, Paul, am writing with my own (J)hand. I will repay—not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides. 20 Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.
21 (K)Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. 22 But, meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for (L)I trust that (M)through your prayers I shall be granted to you.
Farewell
23 (N)Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, 24 as do (O)Mark, (P)Aristarchus, (Q)Demas, (R)Luke, my fellow laborers.
25 (S)The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
