Moses’ Death and Burial
34 Then Moses went up on Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab. He went to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. Yahweh showed him the whole land. He could see Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the territory of Judah as far as the Mediterranean Sea, 3 the Negev, and the Jordan Plain—the valley of Jericho (the City of Palms)—as far as Zoar.
4 Then Yahweh said to him, “This is the land I promised with an oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I said I would give it to their descendants. I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you may not go there.”
5 As Yahweh had predicted, Yahweh’s servant Moses died in Moab. 6 He was buried in a valley in Moab, near Beth Peor. Even today no one knows where his grave is.
7 Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eyesight never became poor, and he never lost his physical strength. 8 The Israelites mourned for Moses in the plains of Moab for 30 days. Then the time of mourning for him was over.
9 Joshua, son of Nun, was filled with the Ruach of wisdom, because Moses had laid his hands on him. The Israelites obeyed him and did what Yahweh had commanded through Moses.
10 There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh dealt with face to face. 11 He was the one Yahweh sent to do all the miraculous signs and amazing things in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials, and to his whole country. 12 Moses used his mighty hand to do all the spectacular and awe-inspiring deeds that were seen by all the Israelites.

34 Entonces Moisés subió desde las llanuras de Moab a la cumbre del Pisgá en el monte Nebo, al otro lado de Jericó. Y el Señor le mostró la tierra entera mientras recorría con la vista todo el territorio de Galaad hasta llegar a alcanzar al de Dan:
2 «Allí está Neftalí; y allí están Efraín y Manasés, al otro lado tienes a Judá, que se extiende hasta el mar Mediterráneo; 3 allí está el Néguev y el valle del Jordán; y Jericó, la ciudad de las palmeras; y Zoar —le dijo el Señor—. 4 Es la Tierra prometida. Yo prometí a Abraham, Isaac y Jacob que la daría por heredad a sus descendientes. Te he permitido verla, pero no entrarás en ella».
5 Entonces Moisés, el siervo del Señor, murió en la tierra de Moab, como el Señor había dicho. 6 El Señor lo sepultó en un valle, cerca de Bet Peor, en Moab; pero nadie conoce el lugar exacto.
7 Moisés tenía ciento veinte años cuando murió; sin embargo, su vista era perfecta, y era tan fuerte como un hombre joven. 8 El pueblo de Israel lo lloró durante treinta días, cumpliendo así el tiempo del luto, en las llanuras del Moab.
9 Josué (hijo de Nun) estaba lleno del espíritu de sabiduría porque Moisés había impuesto sus manos sobre él; el pueblo de Israel le obedeció y siguió los mandamientos que el Señor le había dado a Moisés.
10 Jamás hubo otro profeta como Moisés, porque el Señor habló con él cara a cara. 11-12 Y, bajo el mandato de Dios, realizó milagros y prodigios que no han podido ser igualados.
Hizo grandes y terribles prodigios delante del faraón y de toda su corte en Egipto, y delante del pueblo de Israel.
