¹⁹ They shall call the people unto Mount [Carmel]; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness, for ^[a]they shall suck the abundance of the seas and the treasures hid in the sand.

¹⁶ Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters,

¹⁹ Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

² I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron.

³ And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name.
