Deuteronomy 32:7-9

New International Version

⁷Remember the days of old;^(A)
    consider the generations long past.^(B)
Ask your father and he will tell you,
    your elders, and they will explain to you.^(C)
⁸When the Most High^(D) gave the nations their inheritance,
    when he divided all mankind,^(E)
he set up boundaries^(F) for the peoples
    according to the number of the sons of Israel.^[a]^(G)
⁹For the Lord’s portion^(H) is his people,
    Jacob his allotted inheritance.^(I)
