³⁵ It is mine to avenge;^(A) I will repay.^(B)
    In due time their foot will slip;^(C)
their day of disaster is near
    and their doom rushes upon them.^(D)”

³⁶ The Lord will vindicate his people^(E)
    and relent^(F) concerning his servants^(G)
when he sees their strength is gone
    and no one is left, slave^(H) or free.^[a]

⁴³ Rejoice,^(A) you nations, with his people,^[a][b]
    for he will avenge the blood of his servants;^(B)
he will take vengeance on his enemies^(C)
    and make atonement for his land and people.^(D)

¹¹ Sing the praises^(A) of the Lord, enthroned in Zion;^(B)
    proclaim among the nations^(C) what he has done.^(D)
12 For he who avenges blood^(E) remembers;
    he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.^(F)

¹⁷ The wicked go down to the realm of the dead,^(A)
    all the nations that forget God.^(B)
18 But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope^(C) of the afflicted^(D) will never perish.

¹⁹ Arise,^(E) Lord, do not let mortals triumph;^(F)
    let the nations be judged^(G) in your presence.
²⁰ Strike them with terror,^(H) Lord;
    let the nations know they are only mortal.^(I)

¹¹ But the Lord^(A) is with me like a mighty warrior;
    so my persecutors^(B) will stumble and not prevail.^(C)
They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced;^(D)
    their dishonor will never be forgotten.
¹² Lord Almighty, you who examine the righteous
    and probe the heart and mind,^(E)
let me see your vengeance^(F) on them,
    for to you I have committed^(G) my cause.

¹³ Sing^(H) to the Lord!
    Give praise to the Lord!
He rescues^(I) the life of the needy
    from the hands of the wicked.^(J)
