²⁹ For I know that after my death you will ^(A)behave very corruptly and turn from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will confront you in the latter days, because you will do that which is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with the work of your hands.”

⁷ Moreover, the word of the Lord through ^(A)the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came against Baasha and his household, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger with ^(B)the work of his hands, by being like the house of Jeroboam, and because ^(C)he struck ^[a]it.

⁶ Do not let your ^[a]speech cause ^[b]you to sin, and do not say in the presence of the messenger of God that it was a ^(A)mistake. Why should God be angry on account of your voice, and destroy the work of your hands?

¹⁷ I struck you and every work of your hands with ^(A)scorching wind, mildew, and hail; ^[a]yet you did not come back to Me,’ declares the Lord.
