⁸ And ^(A)the Lord is the one who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. ^(B)He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.”

^19 [a](A)Go, therefore, and ^(B)make disciples of ^(C)all the nations, ^(D)baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to ^[b]follow all that I commanded you; and behold, ^(E)I am with you ^[c]always, to ^(F)the end of the age.”

²⁸ and I give them ^(A)eternal life, and they will never perish; and ^(B)no one will snatch them out of My hand. ^29 [a]My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. ^30 (C)I and the Father are ^[b]one.”

¹¹ And the testimony is this, that God has given us ^(A)eternal life, and ^(B)this life is in His Son. ^12 (C)The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

This Is Written That You May Know

^13 (D)These things I have written to you who ^(E)believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have ^(F)eternal life. ¹⁴ This is ^(G)the confidence which we have ^[a]before Him, that, ^(H)if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, ^(I)we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
