Mga Kondisyon sa mga Pagpapala at Panunumbalik ng Bansa
30 “Naipahayag ko na sa inyo ang mga pagpapala at ang mga sumpa; piliin ninyo kung alin ang gusto ninyo. Kapag nangyari na sa inyo ang mga ito at naninirahan na kayo sa mga bansang bumihag sa inyo, maaalala ninyo ang bagay na ito. 2 Kapag kayo at ang mga anak ninyo ay manunumbalik kay Yahweh upang buong puso't kaluluwang sundin ang kanyang mga utos na aking binabanggit sa inyo ngayon, 3 kahahabagan niya kayo at ibabalik sa magandang kalagayan. Titipunin niya kayong muli mula sa mga bansang pinagtapunan sa inyo at muli kayong pasasaganain. 4 Kahit saang sulok ng daigdig kayo mapatapon, muli niya kayong titipunin 5 at ibabalik sa lupain ng inyong mga ninuno upang muli ninyong angkinin iyon. Kayo'y higit niyang pararamihin at pasasaganain kaysa inyong mga ninuno. 6 Babaguhin niya at lilinisin ang inyong puso at gayundin ng inyong mga anak upang ibigin ninyo siya nang buong katapatan. Sa ganoon mabubuhay kayo nang matagal. 7 At ang mga sumpang ito'y ipapataw ni Yahweh sa inyong mga kaaway na nagpahirap sa inyo. 8 Muli ninyong papakinggan ang kanyang tinig at susundin ang kanyang mga utos na ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon. 9 Pagpapalain niya ang lahat ng inyong gawain. Pararamihin niya ang inyong mga anak at mga hayop at pasasaganain ang ani ng inyong lupain. Muli siyang malulugod sa inyo at pagpapalain niya kayo, tulad ng ginawa niya sa inyong mga ninuno. 10 Ngunit kailangang makinig kayo sa kanya at buong puso't kaluluwang sumunod sa kanyang mga utos.
11 “Ang kautusang ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon ay hindi naman napakahirap sundin at unawain. 12 Wala(A) ito sa langit, kaya hindi na ninyo dapat itanong, ‘Sino ang aakyat sa langit para sa atin upang kunin ang kautusan upang marinig natin ito at maisagawa?’ 13 Wala rin ito sa ibayong-dagat kaya hindi ninyo dapat itanong, ‘Sino ang tatawid sa dagat para sa atin upang kunin ang kautusan upang marinig natin ito at maisagawa?’ 14 Napakalapit ng kautusan sa inyo, nasa inyong mga labi at nasa inyong mga puso. Kailangan lang ninyo itong tuparin.
15 “Binibigyan(B) (C) ko kayo ngayon ng pagpipilian: buhay o kamatayan; kasaganaan o kahirapan; 16 kapag sinunod ninyo ang mga utos na ibinibigay ko sa inyo ngayon mula kay Yahweh na inyong Diyos,[a] at kung mahal ninyo siya at ginagawa ang kanyang kagustuhan, pagpapalain niya kayo sa lupaing ibibigay niya sa inyo. Bibigyan niya kayo ng mahabang buhay at gagawing isang malaking bansa. 17 Ngunit kapag tumalikod kayo at ayaw nang makinig sa kanya, sa halip ay naglingkod sa ibang mga diyos, 18 ngayon pa'y sinasabi ko sa inyong malilipol kayo. Hindi kayo magtatagal sa lupaing sasakupin ninyo sa ibayo ng Jordan. 19 Saksi ko ang langit at ang lupa na ngayo'y inilahad ko sa inyo ang buhay o kamatayan, at ang pagpapala o sumpa. Kaya, piliin ninyo ang buhay para kayo at ang inyong lahi ay mabuhay nang matagal. 20 Ibigin ninyo si Yahweh, sundin siya at manatiling tapat sa kanya upang kayo at ang inyong salinlahi ay mabuhay nang matagal sa lupaing ipinangako niya sa ninuno ninyong sina Abraham, Isaac at Jacob.”

Prosperity After Turning to the Lord
30 When all these blessings and curses(A) I have set before you come on you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord your God disperses you among the nations,(B) 2 and when you and your children return(C) to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart(D) and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, 3 then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes[a](E) and have compassion(F) on you and gather(G) you again from all the nations where he scattered(H) you.(I) 4 Even if you have been banished to the most distant land under the heavens,(J) from there the Lord your God will gather(K) you and bring you back.(L) 5 He will bring(M) you to the land that belonged to your ancestors, and you will take possession of it. He will make you more prosperous and numerous(N) than your ancestors. 6 The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants,(O) so that you may love(P) him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live. 7 The Lord your God will put all these curses(Q) on your enemies who hate and persecute you.(R) 8 You will again obey the Lord and follow all his commands I am giving you today. 9 Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land.(S) The Lord will again delight(T) in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors, 10 if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law(U) and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.(V)
The Offer of Life or Death
11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.(W) 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, “Who will ascend into heaven(X) to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”(Y) 13 Nor is it beyond the sea,(Z) so that you have to ask, “Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”(AA) 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.(AB)
15 See, I set before you today life(AC) and prosperity,(AD) death(AE) and destruction.(AF) 16 For I command you today to love(AG) the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live(AH) and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed.(AI) You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you(AJ) that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.(AK) Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love(AL) the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life,(AM) and he will give(AN) you many years in the land(AO) he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Bendición a causa del arrepentimiento
30 »Cuando te hayan ocurrido todas estas cosas, las bendiciones y las maldiciones que te he enumerado, meditarás acerca de ellas en las naciones a donde el Señor tu Dios te habrá desterrado. 2 Si entonces quisieras volverte al Señor tu Dios, y tú y tus hijos comenzaran de todo corazón a obedecer los mandamientos que te he dado en este día, 3 el Señor tu Dios te rescatará del cautiverio. Él tendrá misericordia de ti y te recogerá de todas las naciones donde te haya esparcido. 4 Aun cuando estés en el extremo de la tierra, él irá y te buscará para traerte de regreso 5 a la tierra de tus antepasados. Poseerás nuevamente la tierra y él te hará bien y te multiplicará aun más que a tus antepasados. 6 Dios limpiará tu corazón y el de los hijos de tus hijos, para que ames al Señor tu Dios con toda tu mente y con todo tu ser, e Israel vivirá nuevamente.
7-8 »Si te vuelves al Señor y obedeces todos los mandamientos que te he dado hoy, el Señor tu Dios retirará sus maldiciones y las lanzará contra tus enemigos, y contra los que te odian y persiguen. 9 El Señor tu Dios prosperará todo cuanto emprendas y te dará muchos hijos, mucho ganado, y abundantes cosechas, pues el Señor se gozará nuevamente en ti como lo hizo en tus padres. 10 Él se alegrará con tu obediencia si sigues los mandamientos escritos en este libro de la ley y si te vuelves al Señor tu Dios con toda tu mente y con todo tu ser.
Elección entre la vida y la muerte
11 »Estos mandamientos no están fuera de tu alcance ni son superiores a tus fuerzas como para que no los obedezcas; 12 porque estas leyes no están en los lejanos cielos, tan distantes que no puedas oírlas y obedecerlas y no haya nadie que pueda traerlas a ti en la tierra; 13 ni están más allá del océano, tan lejos que nadie pueda hacerte oír su mensaje. 14 Están muy cerca de ti, en tu memoria y en tus labios, para que puedas obedecerlas.
15 »Mira, yo he puesto en este día delante de ti la vida y la muerte; todo depende de tu obediencia o de tu desobediencia. 16 Hoy te he dado el mandamiento de que ames al Señor tu Dios y andes en todos sus caminos, y guardes todas sus leyes, para que puedas vivir y llegar a ser una nación grande. Así, el Señor tu Dios te bendecirá a ti y a la tierra que vas a poseer. 17 Pero si tu corazón se aparta y no quieres oír, y te dejas arrastrar a la idolatría, 18 declaro en este día que ciertamente perecerás. No tendrás una vida larga y buena en la tierra que entras a poseer.
19 »Invoco a los cielos y a la tierra por testigos de que he puesto delante de ti la vida o la muerte, la bendición o la maldición. ¡Ojalá optases por la vida para que tú y tus hijos puedan vivir! 20 Ama al Señor tu Dios, obedécele y aférrate a él, porque él es vida para ti y prolongación de tus días. Así podrás vivir con seguridad en la tierra que el Señor prometió a tus antepasados Abraham, Isaac y Jacob».
