10 [a]if you [b]obey the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which (A)are written in this Book of the Law, [c]if you turn to the Lord your God (B)with all your heart and soul.

11 “For this commandment which I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it far away. 12 It is not in heaven, [d]that you could say, ‘(C)Who will go up to heaven for us and get it for us, and proclaim it to us, so that we may [e]follow it?’ 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, [f]that you could say, ‘Who will cross the sea for us and get it for us and proclaim it to us, so that we may [g]follow it?’ 14 On the contrary, the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may [h]follow it.

Choose Life

15 “See, (D)I have placed before you today life and [i]happiness, and death and [j]adversity, 16 in that I am commanding you today (E)to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you (F)may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.

Overcoming the World

(A)Everyone who believes that Jesus is the [a]Christ has been (B)born of God, and everyone who loves the [b]Father (C)loves the child born of Him. (D)By this we know that (E)we love the children of God, when we love God and [c]follow His commandments. For (F)this is the love of God, that we (G)keep His commandments; and (H)His commandments are not burdensome. For [d]whoever has been (I)born of God (J)overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
