²³ ‘All its land is ^(A)brimstone and salt, ^(B)a burning waste, ^[a]unsown and unproductive, and no grass grows in it, like the overthrow of ^(C)Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in His anger and in His wrath.’

⁴⁹ Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had ^(A)arrogance, ^(B)abundant food and ^(C)careless ease, but she did not ^[a]help the ^(D)poor and needy. ⁵⁰ Thus they were haughty and committed ^(E)abominations before Me. Therefore I ^(F)removed them ^[b]when I saw it.

²⁹ but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and ^[a]brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

⁷ just as ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah and the ^(B)cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and ^(C)went after ^[a]strange flesh, are exhibited as an ^[b](D)example in undergoing the ^(E)punishment of eternal fire.
