Deuteronomy 22
New International Version
22 If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner.(A) 2 If they do not live near you or if you do not know who owns it, take it home with you and keep it until they come looking for it. Then give it back. 3 Do the same if you find their donkey or cloak or anything else they have lost. Do not ignore it.
4 If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey(B) or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet.(C)
5 A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this.
6 If you come across a bird’s nest beside the road, either in a tree or on the ground, and the mother is sitting on the young or on the eggs, do not take the mother with the young.(D) 7 You may take the young, but be sure to let the mother go,(E) so that it may go well with you and you may have a long life.(F)
8 When you build a new house, make a parapet around your roof so that you may not bring the guilt of bloodshed on your house if someone falls from the roof.(G)
9 Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard;(H) if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled.[a]
10 Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together.(I)
11 Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.(J)
12 Make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear.(K)
Marriage Violations
13 If a man takes a wife and, after sleeping with her(L), dislikes her 14 and slanders her and gives her a bad name, saying, “I married this woman, but when I approached her, I did not find proof of her virginity,” 15 then the young woman’s father and mother shall bring to the town elders at the gate(M) proof that she was a virgin. 16 Her father will say to the elders, “I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. 17 Now he has slandered her and said, ‘I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.’ But here is the proof of my daughter’s virginity.” Then her parents shall display the cloth before the elders of the town, 18 and the elders(N) shall take the man and punish him. 19 They shall fine him a hundred shekels[b] of silver and give them to the young woman’s father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives.
20 If, however, the charge is true(O) and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing(P) in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
22 If a man is found sleeping with another man’s wife, both the man who slept(Q) with her and the woman must die.(R) You must purge the evil from Israel.
23 If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, 24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.(S)
25 But if out in the country a man happens to meet a young woman pledged to be married and rapes her, only the man who has done this shall die. 26 Do nothing to the woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like that of someone who attacks and murders a neighbor, 27 for the man found the young woman out in the country, and though the betrothed woman screamed,(T) there was no one to rescue her.
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered,(U) 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[c] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
30 A man is not to marry his father’s wife; he must not dishonor his father’s bed.[d](V)

Osachilekerera.
4 Ngati wapeza bulu kapena ngʼombe ya mʼbale wako itagwa panjira, usayilekerere. Ithandize kuti idzuke.
5 Akazi asavale zovala za amuna, kapena mwamuna kuvala zovala za akazi, pakuti Yehova Mulungu wanu amanyansidwa ndi aliyense wochita izi.
6 Ukapeza chisa cha mbalame mʼmphepete mwa msewu, kaya ndi mu mtengo kapena pansi, mbalame yayikazi itafungatira ana kapena mazira, usatenge mbalameyo pamodzi ndi ana ake omwe. 7 Anawo mukhoza kutenga koma onetsetsani kuti mayi wawo mwamutaya kuti apite, kuti zinthu zizikuyenderani bwino ndiponso kuti mukhale ndi moyo wautali.
8 Mukamanga nyumba yatsopano, mutchingire khonde lake la pa denga kuti inu musapezeke ndi mlandu wopha munthu ngati wina agwa kuchokera pa khonde la pa dengalo.
9 Musadzale mbewu zamitundu iwiri mʼmunda wanu wa mpesa, ngati mutero, si mbewu zanu zokha zimene zidzakhale zodetsedwa, komanso zipatso za mʼmunda wamphesawo.
10 Musatipule pogwiritsa ntchito ngʼombe ndi bulu pa goli limodzi.
11 Musamavale chovala chopangidwa mophatikiza ubweya ndi thonje.
12 Muzipanga mphonje mʼngodya za mkanjo umene mumavala.

13 Ngati munthu akwatira mkazi, ndipo atagona naye nʼkusamufunanso 14 namunyoza ndi kumuyipitsira dzina nʼkumati, “Ine ndinakwatira mkazi uyu, koma pamene ndinakhala naye, sindinachione chizindikiro cha unamwali wake,” 15 zikatero abambo ndi amayi ake ayenera kubweretsa chitsimikizo chakuti anali namwali kwa akuluakulu a mzinda ku chipata. 16 Abambo ake a mtsikanayo adzanene kwa akuluakuluwo kuti, “Ine ndinamupatsa munthu uyu mwana wanga wamkazi kuti amukwatire, koma sakumufunanso. 17 Tsopano wamunyoza ndipo wanena kuti, ‘Ine sindinapeze kuti mwana wanu wamkaziyu ndi namwali.’ Koma tsopano onani chitsimikizo ichi cha unamwali wa mwana wanga wamkazi.” Kenaka makolo a mtsikanayo adzaonetse kansalu kwa akuluakulu aja, 18 ndipo akuluakuluwo adzamugwire munthuyo namupatsa chilango. 19 Iwo adzamulipitse ndalama zasiliva zokwana 100 nazipereka kwa abambo a mtsikana, chifukwa munthu uyu wayipitsa dzina la mtsikana wa Chiisraeli. Ayenera kukhalabe mkazi wake ndipo asadzamuleke moyo wake wonse.
20 Koma ngati zomunenerazo ndi zoona, ndipo kuti chitsimikizo cha unamwali wa mtsikanayo sichinapezeke, 21 iyeyu ayenera kumutengera pa khomo pa abambo ake pamene anthu a mu mzinda wake akamuphere ndi miyala. 22 Ngati munthu apezeka akugona ndi mkazi wa mwini wake, ayenera kuphedwa munthuyo pamodzi ndi mkazi yemwe wagona nayeyo. Muyenera kuchotsa zoyipa mu Israeli.
23 Ngati munthu mu mzinda akumana ndi mkazi yemwe anachita kale chinkhoswe nagona naye, 24 muwatengere awiriwo ku chipata cha mzinda ndi kuwapha ndi miyala. Aphedwe chifukwa mtsikanayo anali pafupi ndi anthu ndipo sanakuwe kuti ena amuthandize ndipo mwamunayo chifukwa anayipitsa mkazi wa mwini. Muyenera kuchotsa choyipa pakati panu.
25 Koma ngati munthu akumana ndi mkazi kutchire yemwe anachita kale chinkhoswe namugwiririra, mwamuna yekhayo ndiye woyenera kuphedwa. 26 Mtsikanayo musamuchite chilichonse, palibe tchimo limene wachita loti ayenera kuphedwa. Mlandu uwu ufanana ndi wa munthu amene alimbana ndi kupha mnzake woyandikana naye, 27 pakuti mwamunayo anamupeza mtsikanayo kutchire, ndipo ngakhale mtsikana wachinkhosweyo anakuwa, panalibe anamulanditsa.
28 Ngati munthu apezana ndi namwali woti sanachite chinkhoswe, namugwiririra, munthuyo nʼkupezeka, 29 ayenera kuwalipira abambo ake a namwaliyo ndalama za siliva makumi asanu. Iye ayenera kumukwatira mkaziyo chifukwa wamuyipitsa, ndipo sadzamulekanso moyo wake wonse.
30 Munthu asakwatire mkazi wa abambo ake pakuti ayenera kuchitira ulemu pogona pa abambo ake.

22 Huwag mong makikitang naliligaw ang baka ng iyong kapatid o ang kaniyang tupa, at ikaw ay magkukubli sa mga yaon: iyo ngang ibabalik sa iyong kapatid.
2 At kung ang iyong kapatid ay hindi malapit sa iyo, o kung hindi mo siya nakikilala, ay iyo ngang iuuwi sa iyong bahay, at mapapasaiyo hanggang sa hanapin ng iyong kapatid, at iyong isasauli sa kaniya.
3 At gayon ang iyong gagawin sa kaniyang asno; at gayon ang iyong gagawin sa kaniyang damit, at gayon ang iyong gagawin sa bawa't nawalang bagay ng iyong kapatid, na nawala sa kaniya at iyong nasumpungan: huwag kang magkukubli.
4 Huwag mong makikitang napahiga sa daan ang asno ng iyong kapatid o ang kaniyang baka at ikaw ay magkukubli sa mga yaon; iyo ngang tutulungan siya upang itindig sila uli.
5 Ang babae ay huwag mananamit ng nauukol sa lalake, ni ang lalake ay magsusuot ng pananamit ng babae; sapagka't sinomang gumagawa ng mga bagay na ito ay karumaldumal sa Panginoon mong Dios.
6 Kung ang isang pugad ng ibon ay magkataong masumpungan mo sa daan, sa anomang punong kahoy, o sa lupa, na may mga inakay, o mga itlog at humahalimhim ang inahin sa mga inakay, o sa mga itlog, ay huwag mong kukunin ang inahin na kasama ng mga inakay:
7 Sa anomang paraan, ay iyong pawawalan ang inahin, nguni't ang inakay ay makukuha mong sa iyo; upang ikabuti mo at upang tumagal ang iyong mga araw.
8 Pagka ikaw ay magtatayo ng isang bagong bahay, ay igagawa mo nga ng isang halang ang iyong bubungan, upang huwag kang magtaglay ng sala ng dugo sa iyong bahay, kung ang sinomang tao ay mahulog mula roon.
9 Huwag mong tatamnan ang iyong ubasan ng dalawang magkaibang binhi: baka ang buong bunga ay masira, ang binhi na iyong inihasik at ang bunga ng ubasan.
10 Huwag kang mag-aararo na may isang baka at isang asno na magkatuwang.
11 Huwag kang magbibihis ng magkahalong kayo, ng lana at lino na magkasama.
12 Gagawa ka sa iyo ng mga tirintas sa apat na laylayan ng iyong balabal, na ipinangbabalabal mo sa iyo.
13 Kung ang sinoman ay magasawa, at sumiping sa kaniya, at kaniyang kapootan siya,
14 At kaniyang bintangan ng mga kahiyahiyang bagay, at ikalat ang isang masamang dangal niya, at sabihin, Aking kinuha ang babaing ito, at nang sipingan ko siya, ay hindi ko nasumpungan sa kaniya ang mga tanda ng pagka donselya:
15 Kung magkagayo'y ang ama ng dalaga at ang kaniyang ina ay kukuha at maglalabas ng mga tanda ng pagka donselya ng dalaga sa harap ng mga matanda sa bayan, sa pintuang-bayan;
16 At sasabihin ng ama ng dalaga sa mga matanda, Ibinigay ko ang aking anak sa lalaking ito na maging asawa at kaniyang kinapootan siya;
17 At, narito, kaniyang binibintangan ng mga kahiyahiyang bagay, na sinasabi, Hindi ko nasumpungan sa iyong anak ang mga tanda ng pagka donselya: at gayon ma'y ito ang mga tanda ng pagka donselya ng aking anak. At kanilang ilaladlad ang kasuutan sa harap ng matatanda sa bayan.
18 At kukunin ng mga matanda sa bayang yaon ang lalake at parurusahan siya;
19 At kanilang sisingilin siya ng isang daang siklong pilak at ibibigay sa ama ng dalaga sapagka't kaniyang ikinalat ang isang masamang dangal ng isang donselya sa Israel: at siya'y magiging kaniyang asawa; hindi niya mapalalayas siya sa lahat ng kaniyang kaarawan.
20 Nguni't kung ang bagay na ito ay totoo na ang mga tanda ng pagka donselya ay hindi masumpungan sa dalaga;
21 Ay kanila ngang ilalabas ang dalaga sa pintuan ng bahay ng kaniyang ama, at babatuhin siya ng mga bato, ng mga lalake sa kaniyang bayan upang siya'y mamatay: sapagka't nagkasala siya ng kaululan sa Israel, na nagpatutot sa bahay ng kaniyang ama: gayon mo aalisin ang kasamaan sa gitna mo.
22 Kung ang isang lalake ay masumpungan, na sumisiping sa isang babaing may asawa, ay kapuwa nga sila papatayin, ang lalake na sumiping sa babae, at ang babae: gayon mo aalisin ang kasamaan sa Israel.
23 Kung ang isang dalagang magaasawa sa isang lalake, at masumpungan siya ng isang lalake sa bayan, at sumiping sa kaniya;
24 Ay inyo ngang ilalabas kapuwa sila sa pintuan ng bayang yaon, at inyong babatuhin sila ng mga bato upang sila'y mamatay; ang babae, sapagka't di siya sumigaw, ay nasa bayan; at ang lalake, sapagka't pinangayupapa ang asawa ng kaniyang kapuwa: gayon mo aalisin ang kasamaan sa gitna mo.
25 Nguni't kung masumpungan sa parang ng lalake ang isang dalagang magaasawa, at dahasin ng lalake siya, at sumiping sa kaniya; ang lalake nga lamang na sumiping sa kaniya ang papatayin:
26 Nguni't sa babae ay huwag kang gagawa ng anoman, wala sa babaing yaon ang anomang kasalanang marapat ikamatay: sapagka't gaya ng kung ang isang lalake ay bumabangon laban sa kaniyang kapuwa, at pinapatay niya siya, ay gayon din ang bagay na ito:
27 Sapagka't nasumpungan niya siya sa parang, ang dalagang magaasawa ay sumigaw, at walang magligtas sa kaniya.
28 Kung masumpungan ng isang lalake ang isang dalagang donselya na hindi pa naipangangako, at ihiga niya siya, at sipingan niya siya, at sila'y masumpungan;
29 Ang lalake nga na sumiping sa kaniya ay magbibigay sa ama ng babae ng limang pung siklong pilak, at siya'y magiging kaniyang asawa, sapagka't kaniyang pinangayupapa siya; hindi niya mapalalayas sa lahat ng kaniyang kaarawan.
30 Huwag kukunin ng isang lalake ang asawa ng kaniyang ama, at huwag ililitaw ang balabal ng kaniyang ama.

22 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2 And if thy brother be not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
3 In like manner shalt thou do with his ass; and so shalt thou do with his raiment; and with all lost thing of thy brother's, which he hath lost, and thou hast found, shalt thou do likewise: thou mayest not hide thyself.
4 Thou shalt not see thy brother's ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely help him to lift them up again.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
6 If a bird's nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.
8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9 Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10 Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
13 If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,
14 And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:
15 Then shall the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate:
16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her;
17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
18 And the elders of that city shall take that man and chastise him;
19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the father of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days.
20 But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel:
21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.
22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
27 For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.
28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
30 A man shall not take his father's wife, nor discover his father's skirt.
