The Sea Is Divided

¹³ But Moses said to the people, “^(A)Do not fear! ^[a]Stand by and see ^(B)the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever. ^14 (C)The Lord will fight for you, while ^(D)you keep silent.”

²² Do not fear them, for the Lord your God ^(A)is the One fighting for you.’

^10 (A)One of your men puts to flight a thousand, for the Lord your God is ^(B)He who fights for you, just as He ^[a]promised you.

⁴⁵ But David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a ^[a]saber, ^(A)but I come to you in the name of the Lord of armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. ⁴⁶ This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you and remove your head from you. Then I will give the ^(B)dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the earth, ^(C)so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, ⁴⁷ and that this entire assembly may know that ^(D)the Lord does not save by sword or by spear; ^(E)for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will hand you over to us!”

⁷ But I will take ^(A)pity on the house of Judah and ^(B)save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by ^(C)bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”
