Deuteronomy 7:5-7

5 But this is what you shall do to them: (A)you shall tear down their altars, smash their memorial stones, cut their [a]Asherim to pieces, and burn their carved images in the fire. 6 For you are (B)a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be (C)a people for His personal possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the [b]earth.
7 “(D)The Lord did not [c]make you His beloved nor choose you because you were greater in number than any of the peoples, since you were the fewest of all peoples,

5 This is what you are to do to them: Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones, cut down their Asherah poles[a](A) and burn their idols in the fire.(B) 6 For you are a people holy(C) to the Lord your God.(D) The Lord your God has chosen(E) you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.(F)
7 The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous(G) than other peoples, for you were the fewest(H) of all peoples.(I)
