¹⁰ “Then it will be, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, ^(A)great and good cities which you did not build, ¹¹ and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and ^(B)you will eat and be satisfied, ¹² then beware, lest ^(C)you forget Yahweh who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of ^[a]slavery.

¹⁰ And so ^(A)you will eat and be satisfied, and you shall bless Yahweh your God for the good land which He has given you.

¹⁹ Now it will be, if you ever forget Yahweh your God and walk after other gods and serve them and worship them, ^(A)I testify against you today that you will surely perish.

^16 [a](A)Beware lest your hearts be deceived, and you turn away and serve other gods and worship them, ¹⁷ and ^(B)the anger of Yahweh will be kindled against you, and He will ^(C)shut up the heavens ^(D)so that there will be no rain and the ground will not yield its fruit; and ^(E)you will perish quickly from the good land which Yahweh is giving you.
