8 And what great nation is there, that has statutes and ordinances so righteous as all this law which I set before you this day?
9 “Only take heed, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life; make them known to your children and your children’s children— 10 how on the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’

8 And what other nation is so great as to have such righteous decrees and laws(A) as this body of laws I am setting before you today?
9 Only be careful,(B) and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach(C) them to your children(D) and to their children after them. 10 Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb,(E) when he said to me, “Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn(F) to revere(G) me as long as they live in the land(H) and may teach(I) them to their children.”
