Obedience Commanded

4 Now, Israel, hear the decrees^(A) and laws I am about to teach^(B) you. Follow them so that you may live^(C) and may go in and take possession of the land the Lord, the God of your ancestors, is giving you.

²⁹ Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me^(A) and keep all my commands^(B) always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!^(C)

³⁰ “Go, tell them to return to their tents. ³¹ But you stay here^(D) with me so that I may give you all the commands, decrees and laws you are to teach them to follow in the land I am giving them to possess.”

³² So be careful to do what the Lord your God has commanded you;^(E) do not turn aside to the right or to the left.^{(F) 33} Walk in obedience to all that the Lord your God has commanded you,^(G) so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days^(H) in the land that you will possess.

² so that you, your children and their children after them may fear^(A) the Lord your God as long as you live^(B) by keeping all his decrees and commands^(C) that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.^(D)

⁹ Know therefore that the Lord your God is God;^(A) he is the faithful God,^(B) keeping his covenant of love^(C) to a thousand generations^(D) of those who love him and keep his commandments.^(E)

Love and Obey the Lord

11 Love^(A) the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.^(B)

¹³ So if you faithfully obey^(A) the commands I am giving you today—to love^(B) the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul^(C)—

²² If you carefully observe^(A) all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love^(B) the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast^(C) to him—
