International Children’s Bible

4 Moses gave us the teachings.
    They belong to the people of Jacob.
5 The Lord became king of Israel.
    The leaders of the people gathered then.
    The tribes of Israel came together.

6 “Let the people of Reuben live and not die.
    But let the people be few.”

4 the law that Moses gave us,(A)
    the possession of the assembly of Jacob.(B)
5 He was king(C) over Jeshurun[a](D)
    when the leaders of the people assembled,
    along with the tribes of Israel.

6 “Let Reuben live and not die,
    nor[b] his people be few.”(E)
