² It is vain for you to rise up early,
To ^[a]retire late,
To ^(A)eat the bread of ^[b]painful labors;
For He gives to His ^(B)beloved ^(C)even in his sleep.

5 Let me sing now for my well-beloved
A song of my beloved concerning His vineyard.
My well-beloved had a ^(A)vineyard on ^[a]a fertile hill.
