^35 (A)Vengeance is Mine, and retribution,
^(B)In due time their foot will stumble;
^(C)For the day of their disaster is near,
And the impending things are hastening upon them.’
^36 (D)For Yahweh will render justice to His people,
^(E)And will have compassion on His slaves,
When He sees that their ^[a]strength is gone,
And there is none remaining, bond or free.

^15 (A)You who know, O Yahweh,
Remember me, take notice of me,
And ^(B)take vengeance for me on my persecutors.
Do not, in view of Your patience, take me away;
Know that ^(C)for Your sake I endure reproach.

¹⁸ Let those who pursue me be ^(A)put to shame, but as for me, ^(B)let me not be put to shame;
Let them be dismayed, but let me not be dismayed.
^(C)Bring on them a day of calamity,
And ^[a]crush them with twofold ^[b]crushing!
