^10 (A)And the Lord confounded them before Israel, and He ^[a]slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and pursued them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon and struck them as far as Azekah and Makkedah.

¹⁰ Now Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But ^(A)the Lord thundered with a great ^[a]thunder on that day against the Philistines and ^(B)confused them, so that they were ^[b]routed before Israel.
