¹⁸ “You neglected ^(A)the Rock who begot you,
^(B)And forgot the God who gave you birth.

¹³ “I will punish her for the ^(A)days of the Baals
When she used to ^[a](B)offer sacrifices to them
And ^(C)adorn herself with her ^[b]earrings and jewelry,
And follow her lovers, so that she ^(D)forgot Me,” declares the Lord.

^6 (A)My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have ^(B)rejected knowledge,
I also will ^(C)reject you from being My priest.
Since you have ^(D)forgotten the ^(E)law of your God,
I also will forget your children.

⁶ As they had their pasture, they became ^(A)satisfied,
And being satisfied, their ^(B)heart became proud;
Therefore they ^(C)forgot Me.
