¹⁸ You neglected ^(A)the Rock who begot you,
^(B)And forgot the God who brought you forth.

¹³ So I will visit the ^(A)days of the Baals upon her
When she used to ^[a](B)offer offerings in smoke to them
And ^(C)adorn herself with her ^[b]earrings and jewelry
And go after her lovers, so that she ^(D)forgot Me,” declares Yahweh.

^6 (A)My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Because you have ^(B)rejected knowledge,
I also will ^(C)reject you from ministering as My priest.
Since you have ^(D)forgotten the ^(E)law of your God,
I Myself also will forget your children.

⁶ As they had their pasture, then they became ^(A)satisfied,
Indeed, they were satisfied, and their ^(B)heart became raised up;
Therefore they ^(C)forgot Me.
