^6 (A)Be strong and courageous. ^(B)Do not be afraid or be in dread of them, for ^(C)Yahweh your God is the one who goes with you. ^(D)He will not fail you or forsake you.”

⁷ Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “^(E)Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall give it to them as an inheritance.

Joshua Is Commissioned

^23 (A)Then He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun and said, “^(B)Be strong and courageous, for you shall bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore to them, and ^(C)I will be with you.”

^6 (A)Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. ⁷ Only be strong and very courageous to ^[a](B)be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn aside from it to the right or to the left, so that you may ^[b]be prosperous wherever you go.
