The Law Placed in the Ark. 24 When Moses had finished writing out on a scroll the words of this law in their entirety, 25 Moses gave the Levites(A) who carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord this order: 26 Take this book of the law and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord, your God, that there it may be a witness against you.(B) 27 For I already know how rebellious and stiff-necked you will be. Why, even now, while I am alive among you, you have been rebels against the Lord! How much more, then, after I am dead!(C)

24 After Moses finished writing(A) in a book the words of this law(B) from beginning to end, 25 he gave this command to the Levites who carried(C) the ark of the covenant of the Lord: 26 “Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God. There it will remain as a witness against you.(D) 27 For I know how rebellious(E) and stiff-necked(F) you are. If you have been rebellious against the Lord while I am still alive and with you, how much more will you rebel after I die!
