Deuteronomy 3:21-29
English Standard Version
21 And I commanded (A)Joshua at that time, ‘Your eyes have seen all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings. So will the Lord do to all the kingdoms into which you are crossing. 22 You shall not fear them, for it is (B)the Lord your God who fights for you.’
Moses Forbidden to Enter the Land
23 “And I pleaded with the Lord at that time, saying, 24 ‘O Lord God, you have only begun to show your servant (C)your greatness and your mighty hand. For (D)what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as yours? 25 Please let me go over and see (E)the good land beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and (F)Lebanon.’ 26 But (G)the Lord was angry with me because of you and would not listen to me. And the Lord said to me, (H)‘Enough from you; do not speak to me of this matter again. 27 (I)Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes westward and northward and southward and eastward, and look at it with your eyes, for you shall not go over this Jordan. 28 But (J)charge Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he shall go over at the head of this people, and he shall put them in possession of the land that you shall see.’ 29 So we remained in (K)the valley opposite Beth-peor.

New International Version
Moses Forbidden to Cross the Jordan
21 At that time I commanded Joshua: “You have seen with your own eyes all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings. The Lord will do the same to all the kingdoms over there where you are going. 22 Do not be afraid(A) of them;(B) the Lord your God himself will fight(C) for you.”
23 At that time I pleaded(D) with the Lord: 24 “Sovereign Lord, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness(E) and your strong hand. For what god(F) is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works(G) you do?(H) 25 Let me go over and see the good land(I) beyond the Jordan—that fine hill country and Lebanon.(J)”
26 But because of you the Lord was angry(K) with me and would not listen to me. “That is enough,” the Lord said. “Do not speak to me anymore about this matter. 27 Go up to the top of Pisgah(L) and look west and north and south and east.(M) Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross(N) this Jordan.(O) 28 But commission(P) Joshua, and encourage(Q) and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across(R) and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.” 29 So we stayed in the valley near Beth Peor.(S)
