23 ‘All its land is brimstone and salt left by fire, none of its land will be sown,[a] and it will not make plants sprout out and it will not grow any vegetation; it is as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Adman and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overturned in his anger and in his wrath.’ 24 And all the nations will say, ‘Why[b] has Yahweh done such a thing[c] to this land? What caused the fierceness of this great anger?’

23 The whole land will be a burning waste(A) of salt(B) and sulfur—nothing planted, nothing sprouting, no vegetation growing on it. It will be like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah,(C) Admah and Zeboyim, which the Lord overthrew in fierce anger.(D) 24 All the nations will ask: “Why has the Lord done this to this land?(E) Why this fierce, burning anger?”
