47 “(A)Since you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, in gratitude for the abundance of all things, 48 you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, (B)in hunger, thirst, nakedness, and devoid of all things; and He (C)will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.

New International Version

47 Because you did not serve(A) the Lord your God joyfully and gladly(B) in the time of prosperity, 48 therefore in hunger and thirst,(C) in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke(D) on your neck(E) until he has destroyed you.
