²⁵ “^(A)The Lord will cause you to be defeated by your enemies; you will go out one way against them, but you will flee seven ways from their presence, and you will ^(B)be an example of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

⁸ Therefore ^(A)the wrath of the Lord was against Judah and Jerusalem, and He has made them an object of terror, of horror, and of ^(B)hissing, as you see with your own eyes.

⁴ I will ^(A)make them an object of terror among all the kingdoms of the earth because of ^(B)Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, the king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

⁹ I will ^(A)make them an object of terror and an evil for all the kingdoms of the earth, as a ^(B)disgrace and a proverb, a taunt and a ^(C)curse in all the places where I will scatter them.

¹⁷ “Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming ^[a]release, each one to his brother and each to his neighbor. Behold, I am ^(A)proclaiming a ^[b]release to you,’ declares the Lord, ‘to the ^(B)sword, to the plague, and to the famine; and I will make you a ^(C)terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
