¹⁵ ‘Cursed is the man who makes ^(A)a graven image or a molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ And ^(B)all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’

⁵ For Solomon went after ^(A)Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians and after ^[a](B)Milcom the detestable idol of the Ammonites.

⁷ Then Solomon built a high place for ^(A)Chemosh the detestable idol of Moab, on the mountain which is ^[a]east of Jerusalem, and for ^(B)Molech the detestable idol of the sons of Ammon.

¹³ And the high places which were before Jerusalem, which were on the right of ^(A)the mount of destruction which Solomon the king of Israel had built for ^(B)Ashtoreth the detestable idol of the Sidonians, and for ^(C)Chemosh the detestable idol of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the sons of Ammon, the king defiled. ^14 (D)And he broke in pieces the sacred pillars and cut down the Asherim and ^(E)filled their places with human bones.
