A ^(B)stubborn and rebellious generation,

And whose spirit was not ^(D)faithful to God.

¹⁷ Like watchmen of a field they are ^(A)against her all around,
Because she has ^(B)rebelled against Me,’ declares the Lord.

²⁸ All of them are stubbornly rebellious,
^(A)Going about as a slanderer;
They are ^(B)bronze and iron.
They are, all of them, corrupt.
