⁸ And ^(A)not be like their fathers,
A ^(B)stubborn and rebellious generation,
A generation that ^(C)did not ^[a]prepare its heart
And whose spirit was not ^(D)faithful to God.

¹⁷ Like watchmen of a field they are ^(A)against her round about
Because she has ^(B)rebelled against Me,’ declares Yahweh.

²⁸ All of them are rebelliously stubborn,
^(A)Going about as a slanderer.
They are ^(B)bronze and iron;
They, all of them, are corrupt.
