Deuteronomy 20:11-13
New American Standard Bible
11 And if it [a]agrees to make peace with you and opens to you, then all the people who are found in it shall become your (A)forced labor and serve you. 12 However, if it does not make peace with you, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it. 13 When the Lord your God gives it into your hand, (B)you shall strike all the [b]men in it with the edge of the sword.

New International Version
11 If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject(A) to forced labor(B) and shall work for you. 12 If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. 13 When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it.(C)
