Deuteronomy 18:6-8
Amplified Bible
6 “Now if a Levite comes from any of your cities throughout Israel where he resides, and comes whenever [a]he wishes to [the sanctuary] the place which the Lord chooses; 7 then he shall serve in the name of the Lord his God, like all his fellow Levites who [b]stand there before the Lord. 8 They shall have [c]equal portions to eat, except what they receive from the sale of their fathers’ estates.(A)

- Deuteronomy 18:7 The literal Hebrew here is “stand before the face of,” and in this context it implies “stand ready to serve.”

New International Version
6 If a Levite moves from one of your towns anywhere in Israel where he is living, and comes in all earnestness to the place the Lord will choose,(A) 7 he may minister in the name(B) of the Lord his God like all his fellow Levites who serve there in the presence of the Lord. 8 He is to share equally in their benefits, even though he has received money from the sale of family possessions.(C)
