3 by going and serving other gods and worshipping them, the sun, the moon, or anything in the sky — something I have forbidden — 4 and it is told to you, or you hear about it; then you are to investigate the matter diligently. If it is true, if it is confirmed that such detestable things are being done in Isra’el; 5 then you are to bring the man or woman who has done this wicked thing to your city gates, and stone that man or woman to death.

3 and contrary to my command(A) has worshiped other gods,(B) bowing down to them or to the sun(C) or the moon or the stars in the sky,(D) 4 and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly. If it is true(E) and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done in Israel,(F) 5 take the man or woman who has done this evil deed to your city gate and stone that person to death.(G)

3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel:
5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.
