¹² The man who acts ^(A)presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.

^5 (A)For the Lord your God has chosen him and his sons from all your tribes, to ^(B)stand ^[a]and serve in the name of the Lord forever.

⁵ Then ^(A)the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near, for the Lord your God has chosen them to serve Him and to bless in the name of the Lord; and every dispute and every ^[a]assault ^[b]shall be settled by them.
