6 For the Lord your God will bless you just as He promised you; (A)you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.

Generosity to the Poor

7 “If there is among you a poor man of your brethren, within any of the [a]gates in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, (B)you shall not harden your heart nor shut your hand from your poor brother, 8 but (C)you shall [b]open your hand wide to him and willingly lend him sufficient for his need, whatever he needs.

Deuteronomy 15:6-8
New International Version

6 For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.(A)

7 If anyone is poor(B) among your fellow Israelites in any of the towns of the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted(C) toward them. 8 Rather, be openhanded(D) and freely lend them whatever they need.
