^11 (A)For the needy will never cease to be ^[a]in the land; therefore I am commanding you, saying, ‘You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your afflicted and needy in your land.’

¹⁶ or mistreat anyone, or retain a pledge or commit robbery, but he ^(A)gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing;

³⁵ For ^(A)I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; ^(B)I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; ^36 (C)naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you ^(D)visited Me; ^(E)I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? ³⁹ And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ ^40 (F)And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, ^(G)to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

¹¹ And he would answer and say to them, “The man who has two ^[a]tunics is to ^(A)share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.”
